Should you make Kids of all ages say please?

I ask this because a friend of mine has an 8 year old who does not say please because my friend thinks it is begging.. I think that is crazy. I think it is a great thing it teaches children manners..

Your right your friend is crazy....How does she expect her child to learn manner if she doesn't teacher.........Tell her that begging is saying Give me..........The proper way to as someone for something is Please may I have what ever.......If one of my children or grand children was to say give me I would back hand them cause there is no excuse for being rude......

I was amazed by it but when I watched her daughter I made her say please and she got mad at me and I told her I wont watch her daughter if she is gonna get mad at me I belive kids need to know manners.

Your friend doesnt know the difference between saying please and begging. She might not realize that there's a big difference. I hope her kid doesnt grow up to bossy and rude. Saying please is one of the best words that we have in our vocabulary...

I agree and her daughter is a huge brat and ignores everything she is told

i think kids of all ages should say please.i think it shows good manners for the little ones and shows good parenting for us grown ups.
