bad childhood

I know everyone on here can recall of a bad thing happening to them.how many of us had bad childhod memories?i know i do i was raped by my stepdad for 6 years was afraid to come forward when i finally did my mom hated me for it she blamed me i was only a 10 year old girl.my step dad also physically abused me,and threw knives at me ect.ect.has anyone else ever had any bad experiences like these?

Wow, I am very sorry you had to go through that. My childhood was ok. I had all my need met and a good family. I was raised by only my dad. My mother left when I was 6. We went to church every Sunday. My Dad was a great dad but I feared him greatly. When he would get mad at us he could very mean with words but always made me question why he could be like that. Later in my life, he never hit me but he did hit my sister. It was beyond just shouting and being upset. I truly feared my dad and to this day what brought out that darl side of him.

I am so very sorry for you. I was one of the lucky ones. My mom protected me, she had bad things happen to her when she was young and was extra careful with her daughters. My moms mom didn't believe her when she told her something happened to her. I can't imagine how it hurt not to have your mom believe you. I hope you have been able to get past this and have a good life.
