what do you think? should our tv or radio programs be censored by the government? or should we have the freedom of speech we deserve and be able to watch/listen to what we want? and do you think that parents should be the ones deciding what kids see/hear? or the government?

They shouldn't be censored, but unfortunately they are. About the closest thing you are going to get to the truth via Normal Media is Lou Dobbs on CNN. The rest you will have to go to www.infowars.com and www.prisonplanet.com ...you can find a LOT of truth on YouTube as well.

Well, at least I know the government didn't pay off Alex Jones to keep his mouth shut like it did the normal media...1.65 billion dollars to keep the standard press in line. Talk about biases. Alex Jones has PROOF of what he says, we're talkin' 4 star generals' wives, former FBI agents, people who were actually involve with the twin towers coverup and so many more credible, accountable people.

If you would simply pay attention to what is going on around you, you might know something too.

I wouldn't count on such unaccountable media like that, the main stream is pretty left slanting. Some of that stuff is pretty over the edge liberally biased.

I agree. daytime tv should be kid friendly, and night time adult friendly.

Censorship,is necessary,wherever appropriate,in the nation's interest,let alone TV,radio or Movies.

I do believe that they should censor - tv & radio programs when the kids are home and awake - however after say like 9pm - they should let us as adults watch & hear whatever we want to. I mean in the end it's all a choice by us as to what we want to watch or hear - if you don't like it then turn the tube off or change the channel. I think this is a choice that should not be taken away from us!!!

Hmmm, well I do think it should be censored to an extent, but isn't that why peole like Howard Stern went to Siruis radio? They have no limits on places like that! I mean, there are plenty of places that you can view mature material... I'm a big fan of many of the HBO and Showtime Series's like, Entourage, Weeds, Sopranos, Curb you Enthusiasm, etc... Many of the shows aren't censored and I think they are hands down the best shows on TV today... I really don't think that the government controls much of the networks... The main reason why is because most of the major networks have to censor themselves quite a bit to appeal to a broader audience... Well, thats my 2 cents, hopefully it will earn me 2 cents...

What do you mean by "governmental control"? As a capitalist society where the media isn't run by the government, the government doesn't have any direct control over the media, only what information they'll actually GIVE to the media. As for the FCC, it is controlling the sensibility factors such as swearing and profanity to be more decent for public eyes and ears. When it comes to swearing and vulgarity, it has nothing to do with with freedom of speech, freedom of speech is about political ideas and dissent, not your right to use profanity. Explain your opinion with real words.
