Are Gandhi's principles still relevant in today's world?

gandhis principles r always useful in any time i like non violence an dthe way he went to public is really good

I think it is still very much relevant...remember Gandhi used non-violene when WWI and WWII were very much alive... now we have better system to talk of human rights and protect it, fifty years back the system was bad, and Gandhi still practised non-violence... I think we all should be bold like him.

As far as India is concerned it is Gandhi's principles that is making INDIA as a nation form good relationships with other countries. Had it not been for violence than pakistan and indian would have been the bitterest neighbours in the world. Now i am not taking away any credits from pakistan too. India always looked for peace and good relationship. Internally gandhi principles have been exploited to a large extent but they are still people who r patient enough (like it was posted earlier). But in the end people with peace minds are the ones who succeed.

It depends on the adversary.If his heart can be melted,then Satyagraha is possible.But,some thick-skinned people like politicians will be least affected by this.

Well for someone who has ample patience Gandhi's principles Is a sure positive resulting Way of handling things.. ITs just that nowadays people dont have enough patience that theyd want to settle with everything as quickly as possible.And this results in sparks and fights and wars!! These impatient people includes me !! though im working on my temper and patience!!
