There's been a lot of talk lately about a reunion tour. The Sammy Hagar, Van Halen reunion tour didn't go as well as they'd hoped (although it didn't crash and burn either). Wolfgang Van Halen has already replaced the talentless Michael Anthony, so it's not really a "reunion" anyway... ;~D What do you think? Would you pay money to see Diamond Dave and Eddie back together? Or are they just trying to recapture what was lost 20+ years ago? Personally, I don't care who's singing, the epicenter of Van Halen is Eddy's guitar. Whoever brings the lyrics to life is just extra.

I saw VH in 98 with Gary Cherone and I thought Edward was at his best ever. Partly due to the new life that Gary brought to the group and partly due to his new Peavy Wolfgang guitars and amps. I saw them again in 2004 with Sammy and Sammy carried them. Ed was drinking and playing poorly and the whole act seemed contrived. Sammy's voice was surprisingly strong (better than 1995 I thought) and it was a pleasure to hear him sing live. I look forward to this tour with Dave back at the helm. If what Dave, Ed, Al and Wolfie said at the press conference along with some leaked info from insiders is any indication, their sound is where it should be and they are on top of their game! I think they will breath some new life into the classics and we are in for a treat. I think if you go in expecting a concert from 1984 you will be disappointed. I look forward to hearing and seeing what Wolfie brings to the table. It sounds like he is mostly responsible for this whole thing happening. I hope they can keep it together through the tour and beyond. Hope rings eternal!!! (DLR) I think Ed playing his son Wolfie, and his new (old) Fender guitar and EVH 5150 amps will motivate him to play well and put on a strong show. If nothing else it will be a PARTY! "Meet us in the future, not the pasture!" - DLR Aug 13, 2007 I am going to see the first Toronto show on October 7. Woohoo!

Hi man . . . In my opinion, this rumor only make sense if Ed discover the real deal and famous of David Lee Roth . But, the question is . . . Put the 15 years old in bass . . . is a ofense in my opinion .
