I am sitting on the other side normally .... I come back at least to tell people the yes or no or delay of decision .... but what in my country Germany due to the many applications for a single job meanwhile really is impossible: to send back the received papers like CV and copies of their certificates ... this might also turn out as a favour for those persons: from cost reasons I sometimes come back on people after more than a year for another job occasion

Disrespected. I had the decency (yes even if it's in my interest) to go down to their place of work and talk to them, they should at least show the respect to notify me, either by mail or phone that I was successful. At the end of the day, sticking someone's name from a 'mail-list' onto a pre-made word document isn't a hard thing to do!

I usually never call back the applicants unless I need another interview with them. You can't be offended if an employer doesn't call you, everybody is looking for something different, there is a job for everyone!
