I have 7 Tattoos and my mom tells me everytime she sees them i'm going to hell for marking up the lords temple. Do you agree or disagree?

I am not against tattoos. I have not read anywhere in the bible that it is a sin, but I was told that it is. If it is a sin, I do not think that you will go to hell for it. God is a just and a forgiving God. No one has to right to tell you where you are going. God is the one and only judge.

The only place i've seen where religion is against tattoos is in leviticus 19: 19-28, that's located in the Torah. It also says men can't shave their beards or you can't wear clothes woven of two cloths, or eat meat with blood still in it or plant two different kinds of plants in one garden. Talk about strict.

Your body, your right. Tattoos is just another form of expression. The only thing to remember is that they are rather permanent, and should you need to rid yourself of a tattoo, it will take a long and painful laser treatment.
Other than that, heck express yourself in whatever form or way which makes you feel accepted. Leave religion out of it!

You might want to point out to your mom that over eating, over medicating, tanning, make up, dyeing ones hair, painting ones nails, can also be misconstrued as marking up the lords temple.
My parents don't like my tattoos but they certainly do not think I am going to hell for it. I do tend to cover mine up when my parents are around not because of shame but out of respect.
Your moms can have her opinion but do know that God would never turn someone away just because of a mark on ones skin (IMHO)(and in my interpertation of the Bible)
