the first korean movie i ever saw was 'my tutor friend'.. another cute movie about how a college girl copes with her 'student' with an attitude problem..
what's your first movie? which movie is your favorite? what did you like about the first movie you saw? of course, korean cinema seems to have really come of age with movies like my sassy girl.. in fact, this one is what hooked me to quality korean cinema in the first place... wiht my exploring even darker movies later on

first korean movie i saw was 'quiet family'. i liked it, but my favorite of all is 'old boy'.
the quiet family was funny, and i love this director, but it was a bit too comedic for me. i prefer more subtle humor, or darker themes, like the same director's film 'a tale of two sisters'. that was a really excellent film, and interesting ending! really recommended if you don't mind creepy films.
like everyone else already said, i liked my sassy girl a lot too, but it's not my favorite. others i have watched and enjoyed, phone, 4 Inyong shiktak (Uninvited), and 'cut' which is part of the collaboration of 3 directors (one korean, one chinese and one japanese) called 'three extremes'. i love this short film, it has really great colors, and crazy characters, who are scary and funny at the same time. VERY strange and creepy!

a fan of mine or of park`s? lol
yes i really like his work :)
i am actually sorting out a way to do a photography hommage to CUT...it`s been a year in the making, but just could not get my hands on a prop piano exactly as i had pictured it in my head. i finally have one now, and it`s being re-painted, but i lost the studio i was using so now i have nowhere to shoot the project ;)

I can't specifically remember what was my first Korean movie or if I have watch one. But I reccommend Korean drama series. Especially Full House, it has a very light story that makes me laugh. I also like Jewel in the Palace. Actually my whole family likes the story.

the first korean movie that i've watched was My Sassy Girl... my friends told me to watch that, so i did... it was hilarious, and touching... there are unpredictable scenes and such.. from then on, i loved korean romantic comedy films...
i've seen Windstruck (i cried! haha)... Daddy Long Legs (so-so), The Classic (nice..), and the most recent was, I think... Christmas in Autumn/August... i forgot the title... but i must say that i hated that. sorry... it was dragging, and i didn't like the ending...

i seem to remeber watching my first korean movie but it was dressed in old times. its about a woman who entered the palace to be like a cook. anyway, i truly enjoy korean movies, they have a long way. exceeding even the japanese counterpart.

I watched a film that really drew me in once but it was written in korean so I don't really know what it's called but at any rate, it was about a boy and a girl living in different times who can communicate with each other through a radio and although it turned out to be sad against my usual tastes , I liked it very much.

My 1st Korean movie was My Sassy Girl. I've watched the Tagalized version in the cinemas and it still was as funny as the Korean version. It was a very touching and a very funny movie. This is also one of my all-time movie favorites. I loved every bit of the film. Have you guys watched the prologue of My Sassy Girl entitled Windstruck? It's also a tear-jerker. Made me cry bucketful of tears.
