why do some people hate the way they look?

I think people hate the way they look because they're not happy with anything about themselves. Or they're just plain ugly on the inside as well as the outward appearance.
It could also be a result of how they've been raised. If parents, siblings, family told them they were ugly enough....they just might start believing it.
