Yes it's a big problem. I noticed one of your replies in another discussion you'd copied an entire section from Wikepedia without giving due credit. Most websites and article resources have very strict guidelines, if you use an article you find you need to attach the authors resource box etc. By failing to do this you're basically claiming someones words (not to mention hard work) as your own which in effect is plagiarism and you may find yourself in a lot of trouble. If you respond to a disucssion your best bet is to answer the question in your own words and then if nessary link to the relevant article for further information - which is part of myLots guidelines anyway.

I would think so, because isn't part of the pay dependent on how long the post is? And if you're posting a whole article, you get paid more. I would link it just to be certain.

If you copy content form other sites, please ensure that it is not copyrighted. Even if there is no copyright, it is always gentlemanly to provide a link to that page. But please do not copy content from other discussions within mylot, it is a definite voilation of rules.

Hi muntaha, I do not think you can copy and paste any article from other sites on mylot now. for using this facility you to achieve first the target of 500 post/ discussion ( number next to your name) after reaching 500 posts only you can do cut paste on mylot.

As per myLot guidelines, it is no problem to copy from other websites and paste or use it as an answer here at myLot. In that case one must give the source link. But to copy the answer of other participants is not allowed at myLot. It is considered as a violation of guidelines. To know more please read the discussion guidelines of myLot.

no it was not a problem because u was giving some information to the members and u are helping other to read that information.

If your post number reached to the 500 numbers then the facility of paste and copy will be you apply. there is a java script code on this site from which due we cant past any thing on to the give place, so you have to try to reach your number 500.
