the temperature of coastal areas is greatly influenced not just by the sea breeze but also by the warm and cold ocean currents. the wind which blow over the warm alaskam current makes the west coast of canada warmer tha its east coast. the east coast has teh influence of the cold labrador current. there is no mountain to block the icy winds from the north. so the influence of cold current will make the east coast extreamly cold.
so, now we come to know that the differences in temperature and rainfall leads to a change in the climate of a place or a region..
when air gets hot, it becomes lighter,it expands and rises from an area of low pressure. the rising air becuase of expansion causes vertical ascent of air which is termed as air current. when air becomes heavy, it sinks down and forms an area of high pressure.
