Are you or your parents divorced?

Many years ago my parents got divorced, only to marry again one year later. The very same ting happened with my wife's parents. I have been married for 16 years now. We had rough times until fairly recently, but we're going strong. In the "for better or for worse" part, I think people need to remember the "for worse" and focus also on the "till death do us part". I am by no means judging divorced people. It must be very very hard for most, and in some instances it could be inevitable.

My parents divorced when I was 13. While it was very difficult to go through at the time, I believe it was the right decision for them. They are both with new partners, and much happier now than they were together. I think it was a case of getting married to young and evolving in different directions.
I'm getting married soon, and I certainly never want to get divorced. When things get rough, and they occasionally do in all relationships, I hope I'll be able to remember that I love him and why I married him.
Good luck with your marriage!

May God bless your marriage abundantly. Remember: Love is not just a feeling but an act of your will.
