Tricks to stop bed wetting?

My son is 8 years old and has a problem with wetting the bed. he hasnt always dont it but the last few years he has been having this problem. I tried a remedy my mother used to use and that is just a spoon full of honey before bed but that doesnt work because as soon as I get him to take it he throws up so it doesnt work.. anyone have any good suggestions? I've brought it up to his doc. but they dont seem to be concered at all about it. any thoughts u may have are greatly appreciated.
