A few weeks ago I signed up for several online surveys. To date I have only heard from one, which is SurveyLion.com
The survey sent was for $3.00 US and was easy to complete.
However, I have not heard from any of the others at this point.
Have you tried out these online surveys? How has it worked for you? Any advice? Do they actually pay?

I had joined one site that paid for surveys back in late 1999, & got paid twice. The only thing was, they abruptly wnet offline. There was another site that I had joined, but they very seldom send out surveys, & the few that they did send out, I was not qualified based on my answers to preliminary questions, & therefore, I didn't get paid. I only ended up with $1 in my account that's been there for over a year. I presently am a member of two sites that do pay for surveys. One of them, you need to qualify for it first, & the other one will not pay for household usage questions, but will pay for those taken on specific products.

i have tried a lot but so far only myView is the one i maintained (easy to remember with myLot, hehe). yes, they pay directly to paypal account, minimum of $1 per survey, same minimum payout. it's free registration.
btw, i checked surveylion and saw that payment is upon member's request. isn't that taxing?

Yes they do pay or give points for items. You will not get rich but is nice for extra spending money. Donot pay money to join any, that is a hoax.

The best survey company that I ever belonged to was Pinecone Research. They actually send out several surveys per month, and pay you extra if you test products in your home. I used to make an easy $20 or so per month for doing a few simple surveys from them, and they would send you the check for your survey participation before you'd even done it, the way that I remember it! I don't know why one day they simply stopped sending me surveys. The one bad thing about Pinecone is that they don't allow registration from just everyone. You have to find an elusive link/banner to join their site. I don't have a clue how I joined in the first place because it was so long ago and I don't actually remember finding a banner. Maybe they had open registration at one time. But I know that they don't now, and I would giove a lot to be able to be part of their team again. I loved doing their surveys. There are others that pay, but Pinecone is the _best_! If you ever see one of their banners while surfing online, do not hesitate to join!^_^

Yes some do, it's just a matter of finding the right ones.
I've been paid out several times the thing to remember is that you won't ever get rich doing it and often once you reach whatever the payout level may be it can take several weeks to months to recieve your payment as per their terms.

I've tried to do online surveys but in my experience they all want you to sign up for some kind of trial membership for certain products or clubs. It seems like they don't pay unless you buy something first. I don't know if they're all like this but the ones I've come across have been.

I signed up for quite a few, but I don't know if it is because I'm in Canada we don't really get money. Some give a certain number of points per survey , some give a number of entries for sweepstakes where the members can win something like $50 or whatever but none of them paid in cash and I've done lots of surveys. I signed up for ipsos , global opinion panel, opinion post, and quite a few more, but so far all I get is sweepstakes entries LOL
