I am never going to buy things off the Internet again!
I bought a couple things from Amazon.com for Christmas. After this, I had about 150 some dollars left in my debit account. I went to the store and got some things...then had a little over 100...
I'm a college kid, so I sold some of my books and got money back for them. I put the money I made into my account, asked for a receipt....when it came back I only had a little over 52 dollars left! That's not even possible!
i had to call up Huntington and close my debit card. Has any of this happened to you? It stinks!

No it has not happened to me. I am new to net and rarely buy on the net. I keep on reading International Scambusters.com and you can get good knowledge to safeguard you from scams and cheat people, online and offline.
Good Wishes.

Are you sure it's from your Amazon purchase? Maybe there is something you had purchased you forgot about, or fees the bank charges to your account annually that you didn't remember? Are you 100% sure it's due to the Amazon purchase. Also when you had the 150 some after your amazon purchase, are you sure the purchase had been deducted already from your account? Remember sometimes depending on your bank it might not show up until a day or two later, so maybe you thought you had more than you did because the purchase hadn't gone through?

I agree with you and was about to say something very similar. Had the items from Amazon even been shipped yet? I know with my debit card they do not bill your account [it might show, but the money isn't actually deducted] until it has been shipped so I have to keep that in mind that it is showing me that I have more money than I really do.

Well the thing is that the items that I had bought weren't really that expensive. One was a DVD collection for about 28 dollars and the other was a CD for a friend that was only 9. They sent me e-mails telling me that my items had been shipped. That could have been it, but I don't know.
It might have been that, but one can never be too sure, so I cancelled it just to be safe.

It can happen to anyone unless you take the proper steps to insure your safety.. This is why your recomended not to use credit card on the internet or debit...
If you want to buy online, and SAFELY i recomend going here
www.paypal.com
Go there, you can link an account right to your bank account, the only thing that goes in or out is what you specify, It's safe, easy and defilately awesome when it comes to buying online. You can buy from ebay and everything. You can also sell stuff and get the money sent to there. It's truly amazing. I've had my account for a very long time, 2 years or so, and never a problem in my day to day banking.
Hope this helps,
Peace and love to you and all you care about
Blessed Be.

It's happened to me, but not because I bought stuff from amazon. I always buy books from them. It happened to me just because I didn't pay attention to the dates and stuff. Some of the transactions didn't go through for a couple days.

I have never had a problem with Amazon or PayPal. You should contact your credit card bank immediately if you notice any excess transactions taking place. They will investigate it for you.

credit or debit cards are easy to procure,In fact they force it on u. Later the bankmakes all sorts of mistakes, on purpose Knowing fully well we haveno time to run behind them to rectify the same or enter into correspondence.

This shouldn't happen to anyone as long as you do not let anyone else know your personal information that can be used to buy things. I have never had this problem when it comes to online purchases. If anything you should try contacting amazon with the problem to see if they charged you twice for whatever items you ordered.

Have heard of this happening to a pal of mine. He never got his 100 dollars back for books he ordered and did not get.
