I also love Cornelia Funke and Christopher Paolini, but I'd have to say my favorite author is a tie between C. S. Lewis and Tolkien! :)

I love the Harry Potter series so I'd have to put J.K. Rowling down as one of my favorite authors, too, but I couldn't even begin to list all the authors I like. I love Laurell K. Hamilton, Christine Feehan, Charlaine Harris, Nora Roberts, Jim Butcher, Stephen King...those are the ones whose names I can read off the bookshelf from where I'm sitting right now. I also like the dark is rising series by susan cooper.

My favourite author is Cristopher Paolini, even if he's very young. I think he will become a very great author in the future.
