We here so many things about voodoo today. Most of us have heard that it is evil. Some of us don't recognize it as a religion. Many of us refuse to be near anyone who has dealings with this type of stuff. I have never personally tried Voodoo. I lived in New Orleans as a little girl and was never around it. What I found out is that whether it helps or hurts you depends on the user. Have you ever practiced voodoo? Is it a religion you would consider? If you know anything about it, give us more info on it.

I beleive in magic for good and bad. It depends on who is using it and for what purpose. Voodoo has been practiced for years and years. Is it white or black magic? guess it depends on how it's used.
A religion? I'm not sure of that. For some ot can be I guess but I think it could be more of a spiritual path rather then a religion.

thats a good point really..and I think it could apply to any religion really I mean I know some Catholics who arent religious but are still devoted to Catholism in a very spiritual way if that makes sense...

voodoo? who do? you do?
I really don't know much about voodoo. I don't want to say no because I still have hope that there is some magic in the world, but from what little I have heard it just does not seem realistic to me. I should become more informed

Voodoo is very much true. People can put curses on people. I just try to stay far away from any association dealing with blackmagic and sprits. Really voodoo is nothing to be played with.
Voodoo is a West African word meaning 'spirit'; the original word was vodun. The basic ethos of the religion is that everything in the universe is connected. Nothing happens by chance in this world, and there are no accidents. Everything that you do to one person you are doing to yourself, because you are that person.
Voodoo ceremonies contain prayers, dancing and rituals. They also include animal sacrifices. The figure of the snake plays a major part in the rituals, and the high priest or priestess will embody the serpent’s power. Spirits of wealth, nature and happiness possess the bodies of believers at the ceremony.
I was always creep out about voodoo ever since i was small. Voodoo to me is a demonic worship. Atheist and people of that nature, worship I guess you can say the devil.
I heard of things curses that is associated with magic that people do to other people. Like if a women wants her man or any man to fall in love with her , she would take her period blood and make him consume it I guess in his food or drink.
I sat around and listened to these stories and from what I heard this works. Never will I ever think of doing this because of my beliefs. This is just to show you that people do voodoo and believe firmly in it.
I was going to upload a picture but I am too scary to do so. Call me superstitious or whatever voodoo is real.

I have to say I am really amazed at how many ppl automatically think of spellwork (magick) when they hear the word "voodoo"...Magick is actually a small part of it..Vodou is a religion just like Christianity....its not about sticking pins in poppets or leaving mini caskets on an enemies doorstep...and in fact, Vodou is actually quite similar to Christanity in many ways....

I do belive in magic but when it comes to voodo i am not sure what to belive. I have never been close to it or had it explained to me in a way that would make me belive for sure.
I know what it is - just don´t know if it is possible - then again i liek to think that ANYTHING is possible =)

Voodoo is not a dark art it is an earthy, praise for the harvest, thank you for keeping us alive ,feeding us. Kind of religion.
It was portrayed as evil by the early Christian 'explorers'
