It is very good habit. If you keep your hands clean, most likely you won't get sick.

i generally use bottled hand cleanser 'carex antibacterial' and i do like clean and hygienic! normal hand soap holds so much germs that i am put off by it but do use sometimes in bath maybe but err well as for the germs and where they go i havent got a clue, i would presume down the sink - ha ha...

I used to. I used that non water kind, Purrell I think. Then I heard on a 20/20 like show that it does more harm than good. I've stopped using it since. I don't notice myself getting sick more often either.
