Ingnition replacement for 1996 Grand Am / Tilt steering wheel/Pontiac

need help or guidance on how to replace ignition , we removed tumblers in ign. thinking we could start with a screw driver until we could replace . We got into a mess , can anyone advise please , there has to be a way to start my vehicle , Please!

sorry about last advice my eyes thought they saw 1966 model-----the vehicle you have an electronic ignition steering locks id sujest pay for a mobile locksmith with automotive skills if you dont know what you are doing youll do more harme to ignition than good

can you turn steering wheel from lock to lock .if so may be hot wire .run insulated wire from positive battery terminal to positive side of ignition coil then bridge starter motor ?? good luck....
