There are ways to cure insomnia.
You can restrict the amount of time you spend in bed (sleep deprivation), use cognitive behavior therapy, biofeedback, meditation, medication, yoga, herbal remedies...etc. Lets discuss what works best for you.

Quite a while ago, one of my teachers highlighted to us that coke and panadol is a potent combination. It could knock someone for for more than 24 hours. My friend tried it and was knocked out for that period of time. He totally lost 1 day in his life, sleeping away. I wonder would this make a cure for people with insomnia. What do you think?..

In your experiences, has this worked for you? For my own part, I do notice that yoga and meditation are two approaches that are somewhat slow. I notice that if I change the way feel about sleep, it usually *happens* the way it should. The reason that I am saying *happens* is because, believe it or not, sleep is something that is subconsious. While can create favorable conditions for sleep, utlimately it is the subconsious mind that facilitates sleep.
Going back to what I said before, I think, all things being equal, if you changed how you felt about sleep you could sleep better. If you try to sleep you could make your problems worse. Again this is only if your insomnia is NOT caused by any other condition.
It is also interesting to note that a lot of times, insomnia could be stress/anxiety related. I recently purchased Body Calm from Global DNA Solutions (capsul form). Haven't gotten it in the mail yet. I also own Sleep Naturally, an herbal supplement. Tonight was my first night using it. It seems to work. It is a combinations of herbs, including valerian.
In the past valerian would work for me as well, but I noticed that my symptoms of insomnia persisted after one week.

Follow these easy rules and you will find it's very easy to get insomnia out of the picture. There are two causes of insomnia: fast heart beat, (quit caffeine) & low blood sugar. SO that's easy. NO COFFEE after breakfast and MORE FOOD after SUPPER.

Insomnia could be the cause of other serious illness or medical reasons. For example, insomnia could be the result of occurence, or reccurence of mania. It could even be a sign of depression. It could be the result of any kind of chemical imbalance, including one caused by stop or weaning of medications that affect sleep.
