Ex-husband and his new family

My ex called me tonight to tell me his step-daughter wanted to take his last name and that it was finalized last week. I don't know why but it made my stomach turn. I guess because just about 2 weeks ago he told me that his new wife was pregnant. I was excited for them about the pregnancy, but for some reason the name change made my stomach turn! Maybe because I know what kind of father he's been to our daughter and how he completly freaked out when our daughter was born. I just don't want someone else, (his new wife is too sweet) to have to go through what I went through after my daughter was born. What advice can I give his new wife if any at all?
