Your friend may have violated terms or conditions. Liek he may have changed certain information to suit himself. Paypal is very profession. I wont believe they owed 200$ and did not pay. They have serveral million cuctomers. They wont play such cheap games for 200$. May be your friend is hiding something.

Yes! As Achutha told your friend is hiding more information. He is further giving negative opinion on the online earning. Nothing is serious in this paypal account. At any time you can refund the money from paypal to the original creditor. So don't be haste in taking decisions by relaying on your friends words. Log on to paypal study the procedure and get confirmed.

This has never happened to me, but I have heard that if Paypal suspects or doesn't trust the source that you're getting your money from, they will freeze you. Same goes for if they suspect you of wrongdoings. You're allowed to transfer up to $500 from your paypal account into the bank account that you have it linked with per month. This way you don't have to keep all your money in your paypal account.
If you do get your account frozen, though, you can just call them and get it straightened out. Sometimes all they need is to check you out through a landline phone.

Paypal is good. I have no problem with them. I have withdrawn money and had no problems. But for Indians you can't transfer money to your Bank account from your paypal account. You can ask for withdrawal after paying USD 5. They will send a check in INR to your address within approx 2-3 weeks.

I've always liked Paypal as well as far as receiving money. They do seem to take a large fee out for their own benefits though. Try selling something on eBay for $1; they'll gradly take a third of that dollar from you :) But hey, how can you use eBay without Paypal?

I have never heard of any such news about paypal. Its one of the trusted site, everywhere on web people prefer using paypal for payments. Your friend must have done some violation of rules. I have written to them to include India also in their list of bank transfers you can also do so may be our cumulative efforts will yield results quickly. If there is a demand they might renew their policies too.

Yes, you can trasnfer your money to a bank account or request a check for a $1.50 fee from Paypal. I have never had any trouble from them at all.

Yes, pretty much paypal can freeze or take your money when ever they feel like it. I use paypal when necessary but I don't trust them at all. They have "reversed" several of my transactions before without any good reason. Once they freeze or take your money there is nothing you can do. Talking to customer service is horrible. I will say that in the last two years paypal has gotten a little bit better. I guess because of ebay.

I have been a member of PayPal for 3 years now and I haven't had a problem. I keep my money in there until I am ready to transfer and they do not touch it. I had a hacker get into my paypal account and within 2 hours paypal had it resolved and put the money back and re did all my security stuff. Don't violate their terms and your money should be just fine.

Wow this is really disappointing to hear! I've never had a problem with paypal but have only been a member for 3 months as I didn't sign up until joining mylot. I always tranfer my money from my paypal account to my actual bank account, have you considered doing this? Atleast this way you don't have cash sitting there if you don't trust them..

I use paypal but only for lack of anything else. I hate paypal. They have ripped me off more than once, but so many places only pay via paypal or they charge you to write a check. Beware of paypal. Just cash out or request your money every other month or so.

To avoid further damaged of unforseen circumstances with paypal in the future, you'd better use egold account as suggested by mylot. It's free and I do believe that a lot of independent exchanger around you there for exchange service.

Paypal is not a fraud, they need your credit card so they can verify that it is actually you that is opening an account and not someone trying to open an account in your name...they are protecting your identity when they ask for your credit card. Also, after you get your account opened you can fund your paypal account with your credit card, or if you are shopping online and would like to buy something with your paypal but do not have enough funds you can authorize paypal to take the remaining funds from your credit card.

Any instance I seen or heard of Paypal freezing an account was because the owner has done something to cause the freeze, whether that be illegal funds, or something that triggered paypal to his account....they don't freeze accounts for no reason, if you are following the terms paypal has set forth you will have no trouble, and your account will not get frozen. I have been dealing with Paypal for over 5 years and have received and sent money to ever corner of the world that is was accepted, and not once did I have a problem, they have stopped people from paying me before, only because the money the person was trying to send me was stolen from another account.

Well I've been a member for many years, at least 5 plus years, and I have never had a problem. Just make sure that you read their terms of service and agreements, and as long as you aren't breaking any of them, you should be alright. Also, I've been a member of a few different online processors over the years- egold and stormpay specifically- that have been nothing but trouble. I trust PayPal over all others.

I don't think so. Every one and thing has supporters and opponents. Paypal may have some defects, but it's not that bad. If it is a monster or some sort of devil swallowing users' money, why are there so many people using it? r they all idiots or something? Maybe u're just much too nervous.
