Define, in sports, Homerism, Groupie, Hater, et al.

I've been visiting a few sites that are basketball-related, but these terms appear in pretty much any sports discussion. Everytime somebody says something about their favorite team, without a shadow of a doubt, they are instantly labeled a groupie or a homer. If something is said wrong about a team, they are a hater. The same can be said about an individual player. What I want to know is how are these defined when someone may just be a fan, but not necessarily a homer or groupie. It kind of aggitates me whenever I see those terms since they're so blindly used. I also realize I may be ranting, but I'm interested in knowing.
