Techinical schools....great career tool or waste of time and money?

I went to a technical or vocational school about a year ago and costs 8900.00 for a program called Computer Office specialist. I learned a lot about different computer software but I have not gotten a good job because of that training and they didn't really help me during the job search process. Most of the stuff I learned, I see it in self help books so it seems like I wasted my time and money. What do you think?
