tyler durden/ brad pitt frame flashes

tyler: copy of a copy of a copy.. - this is one of the first "tyler durden" fram flashes in the movie, where tyler appears for a split second on screen totally unexpected, and the audience doesn;'t know whether they really did see him or not.. it's amazing how this has been worked into the film..

Have you guys noticed the single-frame flashes of the tyler durden character showing up every once in a while before jack actually meets tyler? for instance, there's one when jack is talking about how everything is a copy of a copy of a copy... and another when everyone is thanking thomas in the testicular cancer group (tyler appears to the group leader's right)... quite interesting!

yes i noticed the flashes right away, but couldn't tell what they all were the first time i watched it. but since this is one of my favorite films, i watched it MANY times. also, the first time i saw it, i was with a friend, and both of us are film animators and had studied in film techniques in university, so we were probably more sensitive to the subliminal flashes...we had a LOT of practice during our film courses to see things which might only last a frame or two. in my course projects, i even MADE such films, as it's a particular fascination to me ;) anyways, the first time there was a tyler flash on the screen my friend and i turned to each other quickly like 'd'you see that?!?!' and then both nodded yes ;)

this one's one of the most obvious flashes.. i remember having noticed something the first time i saw the movie, but had no clue it was brad pitt.. i just thought it was some problem with the movie or something.. there're at least 3-4 other instances where this dude turns up for one frame when he's not expected.. like when jack meets marla, or when the hotel staff says 'welcome' on tv.. looking for these frames is like uncovering some sort of treasure and ... and ... and ... you're into films!!! oh boyoboyboy!!!!! now i'm all excited.. what kinda stuff do you make? where can i see it? where where where? and how much of it are you allowed to show to people outside wherever it is that you work? do you work with major animation studios? are you starting on your own?
