How do you know that? Any prove? Sometimes they are so fast that it don't even last for a second. Another point is, the world is so big, they have plenty of places to strike. Even if we go to the same place, we don't follow the exact footsteps, right?

that's a myth, it can strike the same place twice, it must have been a conductor in the first place for it to have struck so there's a good chance it could strike again if that is the nearest conductor to the source of the charge.
