You should try to quarantine the virus. Get a good anti-virus program that can heal or delete the infected files without damamgin your whole system. When your anti-virus detects a virus, don't open the file anymore. Delete it already so it won't spread out anymore. Do a virus scan everyday or a few times a week if you have time to make sure your PC is clean. Also, make sure your anti-virus is always updated so you'll get patches for the newly released viruses.
