It's not about the points/ratings. You could earn $10 with only 20-30 points. Look at my ratings, only 1271 (when I post the response now), but I got more than $70 in my earnings.
So, it's about the quality discussions and response that you've started and made..
Don't think about the points, just think about the quality..

I have 14 referrals, but it's only 2 active referrals. Now, none of them are active.. But, they've given me $7.69 for 3 months...

i had 90 posts when i hit $3.80. i guess it really depends on the quality of the posts you make. and also, making a few good posts is easier than making a few hundred one liners. and it earns you more money too.
