Are Girls/Boys Really Fathful in Love Relationships?

I have been seeing my boyfriend for about 3 months now. I recently told him that i love him, which i do. He says that he can feel himself falling inlove with me but is not going to say that "he loves me"until he is sure. As far as i know he has never saidit to any woman hes been with and the longest relationship hes ever had was 6 months, and hes 33 , i however have had a few relationships that have lasted a couple of years and im 25. My question is, am i being led on, if he hasnt realised he loves me by now then is it not meant to be as he most likely never will? Or am i being impatient, i think he has is relating it to being "in love"with me as opposed to "loving"me.
