David Michael Bautista a.ka. “The Animal” BATISTA. Batista is an half-blooded Filipino. When The Animal returned to Friday Night Smackdown! From his left-tricep injury, new tattooes on his left shoulder showing two country-flags, his roots. That flags are of the Philippines and Greece, Filipino-Greek. When came here in the Philippines to promote 3 months ago to promote the Smackdown-Survivor Series Tour in Manila, a grand welcome came to him just like a heroes welcome. In an interview in a morning show in a local radio station (fm), The Animal said that although he’s just only a half-Filipino, they still (Filipinos) gave him a warm welcome and a homecoming. Batista felt happy and later became more prouder of his Filipino heritage. WWE host Josh Matthews said on his show, WWE Experience with regards of Batista promo tour in the said event, “What a homecoming for Batista!”. Batista came back in Manila together with his fellow Smackdown! Superstar for the said WWE PPV Tour. Filipinos once again gave him an another homecoming welcome. In an interviews in the local television show, Batista told his fellow Filipinos that if they have a dreams just follow it. Although he wasn’t able to finish his studies because his family was poor because his parents came to the United States with nothing. Batista plans to buy an house and lot here in the Philippines.
