Orkut is so popular because it helps us for searchin of our old friend .those can be from our college life,our school life or from our city.

i think the feature of orkut as a bridge which had make it possible to have converse with a friend with whom we are not able to contact also we have no price to pay for this communication is also one of the main factor for its popularity
