Maybe it is difficult to do what the shape which you suggest compare with current shape.Maybe you can do this for your future business, be it as a killer product.

Yeah. This is a great opportunity and I believe it can be a killer product. "Buy all shapes of pizzas from here" Slogan. This can be great! All dreams can be a reality if we dare to turn it. Well, maybe you would want to start a business like this?

Yeah, it is easy. but just think a little about my idea here... it is philosophy in life. "The harder it is to get, the bigger the return would be." What I understand here is "to be more creative needs more effort, but the result would be more satisfying." hehehe...

You said it correctly. Cost! It might need a mould to cut the shape of a star. What is going to happen to those cutted parts? Can it still be sold or has it to be discarded? Would you buy a piece of a discarded part? The bottomline - profit from selling the star pizza. If the profit is not affected, I guess we will get star pizza soon.

About your (ladysurvivor) comment on someone making a living making pizzas of different shapes..
It is possible. Look how great the cake industry is.

Yeah.. that's what I'm trying to say. I am fond of pizza, and making them in many beautiful shapes will surely increase sales. Not only the sales of the pizza restaurant only, but for other industries as well. Just imagine, a new business may be developed to produce pizza moulds...

I saw an extreme pizza competition on the Food Network the other day. One of the guys competing made a pizza shaped like the Unted States! I forget what he named it, but that was certainly some complicated dough work.

Sorry for responding to your reply for so long. I've not noticed this before. Yes, I sure agree with you that the amount of work and dedication to make the US map pizza must be so huge! However, the job pays well isn't it? Now everybody remembers about this. Have a nice day, pal.

Since pizza is a fast business because everyone wants their pizza in 30 minutes or less they have to do shapes that are quick & easy. Thus the round and square pizza. With any other shapes, they would have to employ someone to cut the shape into the dough prior to baking and it would not be cost productive. Also with any othe shape, you would not be getting uniform slices.
Around here we have a chain that will do heart shaped pizzas for Valentines Day only. They are fun!!! but still a novelty and I would not want to pay extra for a special shape unless it was a holiday or some weird special occassion.

This is a great idea, perhaps you can suggest this to your favorite pizza shop, or if you have a party order pizza and ask them to shape it as you desire, It will be fun, I will try to do that next time i order my pizza for my party, Thanks for sharing

Like chicken nuggets, they can come from different shapes.
A pizza with a hole like donut for example look fun to eat.
But what I learned is that the best shape is a circle because it spells: D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!
