Why Do Millionaires Become Millionaires?!

It seems to me like most millionaires are either supermodels, or incredibly geeky computer geniuses. What's going on? This is ridiculous! Why are these groups of people so highly rewarded, while other groups of people like teachers and nurses don't even make enough to save for a comfortable retirement? I'd really appreciate any insight on why this happens, how things got this way, and if there is anything we can do to turn the trend around.

The problem here is who is getting less and who is getting more, and what is more and what is less. Why is a teacher doing that job and why did he not become a billionaire. Then what will happen if we do away with billionaires.
Who is giving money to these super models? The fashion designers. Who buys these fashions? Is it other billionairs? No. It is these teachers, nurses and low income people who buy these fashions. So if they boycott these and start living moderately the models and designers will be out of business.
Then the next problem is what happens to the money of these billionairs. Either it is kept in the bank. Then the money available for circulation gets reduced and this reduction increases the value of the money. Otherwise they spend it lavishly. How? They will pay $1000 for a meal. This makes the supplier of food rich. They will pay $100 for a shirt. This makes the tailor rich. They will pay $2000 and do 24 check ups during the year. This will make the doctors rich. So I think we can't do away with billionairs.

Nurses are not poor. They actually make an above average income. Although not millions.

Nurses do not make above average salaries. My mom is a nurse and her income puts her below the government poverty line. You need to ask some average nurses (not the ones with masters degrees in nursing) and you will find out that an LPN and RN struggle to get by each week just like the rest of us.

I agree that once you are a millionaire you have a good chance of staying that way. I think it is because you have allot more opportunity to get included in business ideas and projects that require money to get started.
I am a regular guy but I have an amazing amount of friends from my childhood that have become millionaires. Most of them were not given any money and grew up like everyone else. They happen to have had brilliant ideas and were living at a time when their ideas were valuable and achievable.
I was in college in the mid eighties and most of my successful friends found their wealth on the internet in some way.
However, most of the new millionaires that I meet are small business people. In florida they are folks who own lawn care, swimming pool service, plumbers and electricians. They are people that took a risk and started the type of business that they were already working in and became the boss.

Agreed. One of the beneifits of owning a business is that not many taxes are taken such as a regular person who works a 9 to 5 job. On top of owning your own business you can write off many of your expense meaning you get a large chunk of change back at the end of income tax.
Millionaires become millionaires because they work for themselves and not for others.

This is fairly an easy discussion and simple conclusion. "Geeky people", as you mention, are inventors and they bring good to humanity. That is worth rewarding. Without Microsoft or Intel, or "geeky people", you wouldn't even be able to post this discussion today. For Sexy Supermodels, they do give up a lot in life to be where they are. But pure beauty and luck is not worth that much rewards. The simple answer is America is a world of Entertainment. Therefore, it is willing to pay big bucks for that cause, or more rather, lifestyle.

I bet the geeks are thumbing their nose at all those who called them geeks in the first place lol.
Millionaires are rich because for one they work smarter not harder. They have others do their work. Second they make their money work for them not the other way around which is a person working for money.
Last they dont use credit. Credit can make or break you and in most cases when people dont manage their money they break them.

I think this statement is false. Millionaires who do not invest wisely, spend recklessly, could lose everything overnight. Billionaires, even, who invest incorrectly, could file bankrupcy the following morning. Time is money, medicine, and a devil. Within a split second, anything could happen. So live life and enjoy it like there's no tomorrow. Always get ready for what tomorrow brings. Because "Luck is where Preparation meets Opportunity"

Nurses do not make an impressive salary my mom is a nurse and her income sits her way below the governments poverty level. She works hard most weeks 40+ hours. She is on call and works 3 out of 4 weekends a month.

If you manage your money correctly while you are in your younger years I don't think that it is terribly hard to be a millionare anymore. If you invest wisely and the markets continue to rise as they have, it can be done. It is only a matter of time my friend before I am one!!

Is this true medooley? you're going to be a millionaire? Does the principle of winning 20 million dollars apply to you having a million dollars? I sure hope so!
I think that some people spend time investing money and other people spend time investing in people and relationships. I think that you need to decide as an individual which is more important to you. I would much rather live a rich life relationally then to have all the money in the world!

i guess money breeds money .
i mean if you have large money you can invest it to get more ,but if you have nothing or little ,then nothing, except if you soooooo lucky

I don't know what we can do about it. But it seem it had been a way of life that those kind of profession has a higher rate of compensation, that's why they easily earn money and become millionaires. Acquirng lots of money saying that is: money begets money. While the other group, tends to work all their life but still not enough.

well like you said supermodels or actors have god gifted beauty and luck and so nothing can be done that way but yes they need to do hard work too.i guess people like you said like computer geeks are always concentrated on their studies and work right from their school days and compromise verything for their aim in life.and all people cannot be like that.and it is impossible that all the people in the world will become millionaries.it dosnt work that way, does it?

The word Richer becomes more Richer and Poor become poorer...
This is all in the mindset. if you think you are going to become rich and believe your thought. you definitely become rich and vice versa..
As you sow, so you reap...

I think this is media which makes a person rich. U see its an era of media. The more ur in the media the better u ll get. If u can count, u ll find that there r not too many millionaires around, only a few that r around get a lot of publicity. The more they come in the news, the more exposure they get and the more people know them. Thus not only their contacts swell but also their businesses and their wallets.

i think they become like that because of their hardwork and their way of thinking and in the same way they may have good fate. because without fate what we do also that becomes spoiled

these people have wisdom, power, creativity, faith, vision, knowledge, centeral leadership, creativity. so saying why they got and why the other half is not getting is just a stupied debait. we have millionaires teachers doctors and nurses as well. you can be the one if you believe in it and have those abilities
