Calling all Neat Freaks!

Help me get organized!! My husband hates my "piles" that I have, I can't seem to keep the house neat. We both work, and are both exhausted when we get home and could care less about cleaning up, although admittedly, he does better than i do. SO how do I first, get it all cleaned up to begin with, and then how do I keep it that way? Please! I am begging for help!
