With so many different opinions on how children should be disciplined, I am curious as to what your thoughts are. With our 2 year old son, my husband and I try to use positive reinforcement as often as we can. I try to lead him to the right thing if he is misbehaving. If it is something more serious-like running from us in the paking lot (which he has done 1 time and probably wont do again!) he does get spanked. Not beat, but spanked. I am a big believer that spankings should be used as a last resort, but I am not opposed to them. I want my son to understand how to talk through a problem. It is never a "I am the mamma, you are the child" issue as my mother always put it. He is a human, he is a child and try to respect that.

Hey, discipline is the worst word for me. I dont want to be alike. U have to know all the things to live in this world. so u just tell him some words when he is going in a wrong way and allow him to think on his own. that will solve ur problem.
