Like all the other people who have answered you, I must chime in: This is a scam! Do not under any circumstances send them any money or personal information.
If this is a legitimite lottery (which it's not) they would never ask you for money to send you your money. Don't respond to their continued calls, e-mails or letters. That is the best advice I can give you.

it's a scam. first and foremost, did you join in any contest, raffles, watever? if you didn't, the email you received is too good to be true. don't fall for the likes of it. money is hard to come by these days, so don't waste it.

It sounds like a scam to me. That is what these people do. They depend upon your greed for the money so that you send them money for insurance. Doesn't that sound bogus to you. If you really won some money they would have no problem paying for the insurance themselves. I hope you didn't give them too much information, like bank account numbers, etc.

If you have to send them money to get money, you are generally being scamed. I would tell them in your next phone call that you are going to need some information from them and that you will be sharing it with your lawyer. If they are a scam, this should get them to leave you alone. If they give you information, I'd have it checked out very closely. Leave no stone unturned as they say. Most likely you haven't won anything and these people just want to get rich off of you. Don't let them use you and laugh about how you fell for their scam later.

dear all i too got such mail and replied just for fun; you'll get nice replies from these scammers in a 24 hour period; never give them your bank account number, online transaction passwords and so and so. just make them fool by acting more ignorant! try asking them basic and silly questions. always give hot replies and engege them so that we can make them type to us only and not to other persons in this world. finally after 100-200 mails tel scammer that he's a fool and wasted all time and energy with you. also give a punch advice to get out of such jobs and be honest in life!!!

my dear fella, this is totally a scam. you know what will happen after you received the email?
most of the victims replying the email and started to ask how to get their winning money.
after that they will give you an instruction. similiarly like this, you have to pay some amount of money as a processing payment. and guess what happen after that?
they fled away just like wind blows. dont trust that. buy me.
good luck.

and also you may check the company whether they exist or not by several ways.
1. you call the contact number.
2. you find out the origing, company name, number of registration etc etc.
3. you can check with the ROC or the company registrar for the particular country. just email them. they will respond you quickly.
good day.
