I'm curious how many people actually like their in-laws? And their mother-in-law in particular? Between my husband and myself, I know he got the short end of the stick when it comes to mother-in-laws. However, his mom is just great. I don't know if it's because she's older, because she's had a half dozen kids and tons more experience with life than my own mom has, or what. But she knows better than to involve herself into me and my husband's private life. She feels that the less she knows about her kids' personal lives, the better. She makes me feel like I'm a good mom, and my father-in-law is no different with that. They all made me feel like part of the family right away, and they love their grandkids like there's no tomorrow. They also give compliments when they see crafts and stuff that I make. They're just great!

good for you..mine is a disastrous one..i mean my in-laws doesnt like me..coz they think that im a threat?? or just being jealous..of the attention i get with my husband. i dont know really why up to now...and it doesnt give me any qualms as long as my husband loves me..

As long as your husband loves you, that's most important. Although I don't know why parents would be jealous of the time your husband spends with you. that's the whole point of being married. You are supposed to leave your parents and start your own family.

I recently met my future father-in-law and so far we get along just fine. My future mother-in-law hasn't exactly been eager to meet me, so I can imagine that she'll be more difficult to get along with.
My fiancé will be meeting my parents for the first time over christmas, so I hope they'll all get along.

My in-laws are good Christians. I give them respect because they are my elders, even if we don't always agree. I think it is important to show respect to all family members.

I agree with you on that one. I was taught very early on to respect my elders. Unfortunately a lot of people don't do that. Even grown-ups don't do it.
