What do you do with your baby and/or kids while you shower?
My son is 8 months old and I put him in the exersaucer like thing in the bathroom while I shower. Pretty soon, he will outgrow it and then I won't know what to do.
At what point is it not ok to have your kids in the bathroom with you? At what age should they not see you naked?
thanks, Rachel

I take my shower while they are a sleep. I stop letting my son see my nacked when he looked at me and said " mama no pepe". That is when I said well now he see the differnce I just did not fill comfortable with him looking at me tring to find my "pepe".

DS is 15 months old. I take my shower either first thing when I get up, and he's not up yet, or right after he goes down for his nap. I have a monitor so I can hear if he's awake or not. He's good about playing on his own in the crib, so I don't have to rush to get him when he wakes.
I'm a SAHM, so I take DS in with me whenever I use the bathroom and nobody else is home. No biggie. He's just starting to get interested in the "potty." DH doesn't take him, just because he doesn't go that often when I'm not around. I think once potty training starts, he'll get to do it more often. You know, to show how things work.

My son who is 21 months watches his favourite VCD,Barney or Bear In The Blue House while I shower. On other days, I'll take a quick shower while he's taking his nap. Sometimes, he'll wake up while I'm still bathing....too bad, he'd have to stand outside the bathroom crying and wait til I finish.

Usually i don't shower until my daughter is napping, it's just easier that way & you don't have to try & drag them in to the bathroom either!

I have a three month old and a 16 month old. When I shower, I usually wait until they are asleep or I put them in something. If they are awake and I really want a shower, I put the baby in his swing or bouncy seat and I have a walker that I put my toddler in. I make sure that she can not get anything that could harm her and close the door to our bedroom so that I know she is in the same room as me. I can hear her and the baby when I am in ther shower and just get in and out as fast as I can. When they get older, I will probably just wait until a nap time or bring them in my bedroom which adjoins to our bathroom and turn on the tv or make sure that they have toys to keep them busy.

your baby is just 8months..the proper way of giving your baby a bath is to prepare a warm bath on a baby bathtub then put your baby on the baby bath tub with your left hand holding the head of your baby....the head of the baby is on top of the water the body is just in the water then put some soap on the body and head not the face of the baby....when cleaning the face of the baby use cotton(wet cotton)

My 13 month old normally joins me as I can't let him out of my sight for a min. The girls 6+7 yrs normally sit on the floor and talk to me. If I head to the bathroom they become magnetised lol.
If kids aren't happy seeing you naked they'll tell you, I don't care weather they see me or not, certainly don't want them to develop a complexion about it.

My kids are sleeping when I shower. When they go to their mom's, I try to get everything done around the house, not just having a shower. If I need to, I put my daughter in her play pen and my son can hang out where ever because he is almost 5 and doesn't need a play pen.

I only have girls, so it will not be a problem with them seeing me naked. If I am the only one home then they baby is in her bouncy in the bathroom with me. I will take her in there if only my 5 y/o is home too. If my husband is home then he is in charge. I will let my 7 1/2 year old hold her & feed her while I shower. The baby is a month old.

I always put my daughter in a swing in the bathroom & then when she got bigger I did the saucer toy & now that she's 15 months, I either put her in her high chair with food & roll her into the shower room with me & keep the curtain open or I put her in the play pen and move the play pen to the door and leave the shower curtain open so I can see her. I think it's better to have your kids in the bathroom with you than unsupervised in another room so as to how long in the bathroom.. I think--for as long as they need to be until they are fine by themselves. I heard someone say until they are 4 they are fine seeing you naked but after that they start to identify things with themselves and it would be better if they didn't see you naked.

I like to put my daughter down for a nap or get up early before she does so I can have some me time without a baby crying at me. I also either wait for my husband to get home. I have tried putting her in her walker but don't do anylonger because she throws a fit cause she's actually not really seeing me throw our shower doors.

I wait until my son is napping or in bed (he'll be 2 in May) and I usually just put my daughter (she's 2 months) in a bouncy seat and bring her to the bathroom with me. Personally I don't want my kids to see me naked when they can start seeing better (6-12 months). I don't think it will be such a big deal with my daughter, but I try not to let my son see me. If I really need to shower and he's up, I have him sit in the bathroom on his potty and read a book. I put my daughter either in her crib or the swing and leave the door open. When I do that, I usually try to cover up so my son doesn't see me.

I usually only shower when my daughter is at my parents or after she's gone to sleep. My wife is home so it's not an issue about someone watching her as much as she likes to walk in on people.

i would make them play in their room or make them busy with toys for a while...so that i can take my quick shower and assure their safety..

My kids stay in the den and watch tv... Most of the time I wait till they are asleep before I shower. Just easier and I dont have to worry bout what they are doing! (my boys are 2 and 4) As far as seeing ya naked, I would say 3 or 4 is old enough to stop. My 4 year old is already curious about girls bodies because they are different!
