The first thought that popped into my head was maybe twenty. That was totally unscientific, just thinking about my professional full time jobs and other part time stuff in school and in addition to full time jobs, and of course the part time stuff since I started being a full time mom and part time worker. I think somewhere around 20 is about right, with most of the time spent working divided between a seven year and several 3-4 year full time jobs.

I have done part time jobs many. Full time employment is for the first time. My dad has changed more than 30 jobs in his 30 years. He was in Textiles as Dyeing Manager and later retired as General Manager Process.

To date, I have had 2 permanent jobs and a smattering of several temporary jobs in between. Right now, I am a piano teacher and I hope I will be able to stick to it till I retire unless I can find some other more satisfying job. The reason for me taking up piano teaching is that I don't want to waste my hard earned opportunities and it will be a pity if I lose touch of playing the piano.

Well, when I was young (say 9-12ish), I pet-sat for neighbors. Later on I was in school and spent every free minute on my dance career and thus had little to no time for a pay job, but I made a couple hundreds of dollars selling things on e-bay during that time. Later on, I taught dance over one summer and got paid for that. And am on call for private dance lessons for anyone in my area! I consider myself to be self-employed now. I have a dance company just about ready to come off the ground. I have also done volunteer work at various places - Sally Ride Science events and am planning to volunteer at an event for the Jimmy V. Foundation for cancer research this summer.

Three. My first job was a junior auditor in one of the big firms here in the Philippines. I couldn't stay with that job as I don't really see myself as an auditor. I really don't like criticizing other people's work. My second job was with an outsourcing company. We did other people's books from other countries. I only stayed there for 3 months because I didn't like the late hours. My body clock was thrown out of whack. My current job is an accountant in one of the government agencies. I've been here for three years and it's the perfect job. Not too much work and there's not too much stress so I'm able to work and study Law (after work) at the same time.
