Something wrong with me?

I just find lately I'm unable to give a damn about anything.. I don't seem to be able to feel anything for anyone anymore, even myself, except a healthy dose of guilt for my sins of course... Case in point, I've been dating this girl off and on.. I like her, but I'll go days without talking to her, or even really thinking about her, she's a great girl too, makes me feel bad (Oops, just made myself a hypocrite there.. I said I can't feel "anything" I know, but bear with me..).. Is there something wrong with me? Wait, yes, I do smoke.. I drink.. Hmmm... I do have a healthy s ex drive... Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Like you're going through life on autopilot, not really processing emotions about anything?

I used to be like that when I was in a bad relationship. I felt the same way and didn't know what was wrong with me. I didn't drink or smoke, but still I know the feeling you are talking about. Once I got out of the relationship and focused on me and my interests/desires etc. I started feeling again and enjoying life.

It sounds like you could be depressed. You should go to your doctor for a check-up. It might be depression (at any age), or it could be other things. Only your doctor can tell you for sure. Be sure to tell him about all the things you've listed here, & any other symptoms you haven't listed; such as maybe being tired alot, sleeping too much, or not enough, etc... hope you get to feeling better
