How important is Computer Literacy now?

I am an averaged Computer Literate, average know-how on how to fix my computer, on how to assemble them and how to maintain them.
Sometimes I do meet people with a really LOW know-how on computers and it sometimes annoys me when they don't even know the basics of it.
What are your inputs here?

Good for you and I still remember I learned computer in the US Navy and it was really tough going down to the computer language and making sure every command is correct! even at the 1's and 0's level... I can understand how annoying can be if you let them bother you... here is the good news... no one has any power, except the power you give it to them! Enjoy and live free!
