As a mother, we wants the best for our children and we immediately do it minutes after we see our little angel. Before I get pregnant, I always say to myself that I will breasfeed them so they will become healthier and more attached to me as their mother and true enough the bonding we have is different from their father. Some people may ask what are the benefits of breasfeeding your child and here are my answers to that questions:Benefits for the infant:
1.) Breast milk when fed directly is immediately available and it is at body temperature.
2.) Breast fed babies have a decreased risk for several infants conditions including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
3.) It also prevents: allergies, asthma, autoimmune thyroid diseases, diabetes, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, obesity, respiratory infection and wheezing.
4.) Breast milk also has various anti infective factors like anti malaria factor para amino benzoic acid (PABA), the anti amoebic factor BSSL and lactoferrin.
Benefits for the mother:
1.) It releases hormones that have been found to relax the mother.
2.) Reduced risk of breast cancer.
3.) Reduced risk of endometrial cancer.
4.) Reduced risk of osteoporosis
5.) Reduced risk of post partum depression.
I must say it is the best gift a mother can give to her baby, nurturing and nourishment!
