Yes they are! When you respond to their discussions they don't even have the time to say a simple thank you or better yet they don't even respond to discussions you have made. Wouldn't it be better that there should be a "give and take" relationship or something? Some users even have more questions than discussions they respond to!

I used to do it until I read this in the rules....Don't Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings.....So I don't know if its against the rules or they were just telling us that you won't get money from it. Personally, I don't care if I don't get money for it. I think it is a respect thing, but I won't do it anymore until I am sure I won't get banned for it.

Yes that's true. There's nothing wrong in just saying thank you. As you say it's the most respectful thing to do. Thanks.

Well, have you noticed how I answer those who respond to my post, it's not just a mere "thank you". If you don't want to appreciate what they say then don't. But then again, I say that I respond back to those I appreciate or worth responding to. If you don't want to add a comment to what they say, then don't. It's just an opinion of mine. God Bless.

I try to respond in some way to people but I won't respond to people who give answers like "yes" or "no", or "I agree". There are usually too many responses to do this. I used to thank everyone for replying but when I read in the rules not to I stopped. Other users were complaining about me thanking them too. :o

I try to respond to every response in my discussions - some of the one liners or irrelevant answers I won't bother with though. It's nice when a topic owner acknowledges your input even if it's just a "Thanks for your time".

Thank you. It would be really great that if you respond with an honest answer they should at least say thanks or anything. Of course for the one liner answers, they're just there for the buck, I guess. Thanks again!

I hardly ever make it back to the threads I've been in.. and guess I'm surprised many do :)) I don't start many discussions, because I tend to forget about them... as I just sort of surf around here... but always end up in "discussions my friends have started" good luck to all...

Like Brendalee said.
Thery have rules against posting one-word or one-sentence comments. So a reply of, "Thank you for your response" is probably in violation to MyLot's terms of service. The discussion starter would need a more elaborate response, & even then, if they just replied to your response with that one-liner, there is that slight chance that maybe they only saw that you responded, but did not read it.

Well - I kind of think it's that "fear factor." Even though I don't know what goes on in the minds of the MylLot owner(s) & the moderators & other admins, sometimes it is human to go overboard when it comes to rules/TOS.
Anyway, from what you have mentioned, it does all boil down to one forgetful thing. There are usually real humans on our computers & making these posts.

I guess there would be no violation to Mylot terms if you just respond to those who posted or honestly answered your questions. They've taken the time to respond to you honestly or as best as they could so giving them the proper acknowledgment would not hurt you. Besides, it's you who started the thread. Even if it doesn't earn you anything well, still thank you is heartwarming. Thank You.

I try to respond to people who answer my discussions, if they give a good post. If I get alot of answers, it takes time to respond to them. And I dont see the point of just replying with a thank you. Isnt it implied that we are thankful for the answers? And shouldnt you reply with something more interesting, and useful than just thank you? Thats just what I think. No offense to your opinion.

None taken. We all have our opinion and this what makes Mylot great because it's open. Well, probably this time some of the users are checking my profile to see if I'm responding to all (hehe) I agree with you that it takes time to respond to everybody. But if you really appreciate a response then I guess It wouldn't hurt the one who responded if I thank him or her. Thanks.

I try to respond if I feel that I am moved by their comment enough to say something. If I'm not, what would be the point of saying something? When you thank everybody and their uncle for posting, doesn't that seem a tad ridiculous? I realize people want to be appreciated for their posts, but maybe there's no reason to continue a thread based on a particular comment?

Well friend, you see it's like this, I have a "slow" computer. When you saw the first 2 response I was already typing for the 3rd one and if you can see the time that have lapsed before the others have been responded to, that's how slow my computer is. But still I try to respond to "responses" that I appreciate that much. Thanks.

yes i have noted that peopel just start a discussion and they later dont even bother to respond to the discussion
i dnt think that is a good thing to do
well if you cant respond to all of them atleast try to respond a few that will also do
but they dont even bother for a single 1
i think they just start a discussion and think that they will get money.
everytime i respond i first see that the user comment to the reply which user put

Yes! That's what I'm trying to say, Thanks. At least don't answer or respond to those who say "yes" "no" or even "I don't know". Just respond to those who did take time to answer your post honestly.

For the topic starter's comments, they would not give any credit for that. I guess besides having more than a one liner, the response should also be related to the topic.

I try to answer every response to something I wrote .The first thing I do when I sign in is check for responses and respond to them, then check my friends discussion, then if I have any I will put in a new discussion then go on to new topics.
If someone has taken the time and energy to read and respond to my rantings,I feel I should acknowledge them.

My Friend I agree with you that we don't have to respond to everyone but I guess it's awfully rude that some wouldn't even have the time to say something if they appreciate the response.
Eunice, thanks!

There is a mixed variety of people on MyLot as I am sure you have found out by now. There are the people who enjoy discussions and are not really interested in making money. I find that these are the people who post the best discussions and who will also reply with a little 'Thank you'. Then there are the people who post as many discussions as possible in order to increase their earnings and quite a lot of the time they do not have the time to respond to comments. I think we will just have to take the bad with the good.

Still the best thing is we help out others who really need a good advice. It's the other users who clutter with useless questions and as you say they're in only for the money.

I think sometimes if a person has a lot of discussions started, maybe they don't have time to respond to each and every post or maybe some of the people who have posted in their discussions only have posted one or two words and it's not worth their time to respond back to these answers.

I guess limiting the threads started to three would be great! That would really encourage those who start massive discussions to respond LOL.

en...that is a problem! I agree with you about your suggestion. I think it will be better myLot establish "give and take" posting system. You should sent a email to the admin of myLot, and they will put it into the guideline if they agree with you. Anyway, I think it is a good idea.

hii friend.i understand ur point.but i think one should not bother for comments on their responses like thanx and all.i know when u have responded u expect a sort of reply but the thing in mylot instructions they have mentioned that thanks giving messages do not increase any earning.so people think it a waste.

My friend, if I add a comment to the responder of my post see to it that it's not always thank you. Of course I would not bother answering something that I really do not appreciate responding to. I'm not saying that you have to respond to everyone who post in your discussion, at least respond to what you appreciate.

Despite the fact I just started my experience here in MyLot, I'd truly expect people to have the proper courtesy to thank anyone who gave a well written response to a discussion they started. I'd understand such a lack of courtesy if that person happened to give a half-arsed answer, due to the fact they're disturbingly obsessed with the making of a few cents, but when a person puts in time and effort into a response such as the one I'm writing right now, I'd expect some sort of thanks.
Of course, this is because we all like having big egos. Including me.

That's it, thank you. I don't know why the others got irritated by what I said a mere thank you. It doesn't mean that you have to literally say thank you but rather a comment on what the responder have advised or said.

No, it's wasting bandwidth. And who gets their panties in a bunch over whether someone says THANK YOU or not? That's ridiculous. If I want to thank someone for posting a good reply, I'll kick em a + or I'll go reply to one of their topics, but nobody cares if they get THANKED. I've NEVER gone back to a topic I've replied to looking for a thank-you from someone.

There are still users who go back to discussions they've responded to as I've seen many actually because that's what a discussion is all about. You don't go back to a discussion just because you wanted to see a Thank You but rather a comment or probably the person who started the topic wanted some clarification on your post.
