One should never judge a person by external appearances.

You should not do this, but it is human nature. A blind person could never do this, but those of us who can see automatically make some judgement on the outside appearance of a person. That is why the internet is really cool, you meet the real person before you see the person. Granted there are plenty of people on the internet who are not being truthful, but they are still being judged by their mannerism rather than their looks.

this is the nice question you have asked in this discussion You can never judge a person just by looking at his physical appearance. Some people look rude and some look descent. Just they dress nice it doesnt mean they are nice and descent. You should always understand a person, then justify what he is and how he is. I never do that to anyone. Just because they look good, i really dont make friendship with them until unless i analyse them completely. I have seen many people judging people just by their appearance. That is wrong. Have to analyse first , rest is next.

There is one story related to this. Once Bankim Chandra Chattopodya was invited to a party. He went there in his normal Dhoti-kurta, but the gatekeeper there refused him to enter the party because of his sobby dressing. Bankim Chandra went back to his house and put a more formal clothes on. He then went to the party this time the gatekeeper saluted him and allowed him. Inside the party he started putting all the food in his pocket. Everyone there was amazed to see this. When the host asked why he is doing this, he told him that the respect was not give to him but to his clothes thats why he is putting all the food in his pocket. It is same like that, one should never judge a person by his clothing.

It's true. So often beauty is only skin deep and some of the most gorgeous looking people are so superficial it's really quite sad - and off-putting. And there are people who don't look lioke the norm - there is one guy who is my brother in law's friend. He is covered by tattoos - amrs, legs, hands and fingers, ears, neck, everywhere. My older twin used to be terrifid of clowns as a child and the tattoos reminded him of a clown. One day while visiting my bil this friend was there. It was trulyhot and he was not wearing a shirt. My son was terribly distressed, and while we told him not to worry - he raninside and put on a long sleeved shirt so my boy wouldn't be upset. Thugh some would htink he looks like a thug - he is the nicest man you could meet.
