Would you tell on your friend who's cheating on his wife?

i have a friend at work who fell in love with another woman, our officemate, who is single. i could see how much he loves her, and she loves my friend dearly too. problem is, my friend's wife (who is my acquaintance) would often call the office looking for her husband. most of the time the husband is out with the girl on client call or at the canteen, whatever. i feel so guilty lying to her about his whereabouts. but i know i'm not in a position to tell her about her philandering husband. they have three beautiful kids and i wouldn't want them to have a broken home. i've talked to my friend about it and all he tells me is that he loves this single girl and it would hurt him deeply if he would give her up. the way i see it, the relationship is getting serious by the day. what do you suggest i do? please help. thanks...
