Why is the lack of care in Nursing Home's skyrocketing??

Stating from experience, the care that I have seen in these Nursing Homes today is unacceptable! The care is good however, when a family member is "in the house". The scabies, the infections, the problems that require quarantene/Isolation (MRSA) are getting way out of hand. The hip fractures, the broken bones, the skin tears, the aspiration for no reason...Someone has to do something! Have you ever worked in a Nursing Home? Have you ever visited a loved one in a Nursing Home? Have you been the unfortunate one to be forced to put a loved one in a Nursing Home because you/your family could not care for them any longer? I have done all of the above, and it is horrible the care that our grandparents and parents are getting nowadays. Homes and hospitals are so understaffed and when they are well staffed they are so over worked and seem to lose interest in the reason they are where they are. To care for our elderly! What experiences have you had??
