New to MyLot....certain queries...

Hi I just registered today at MyLot and have certain queries. I have lots of topics to discuss but how do I know that somebody has already not discussed the same. If somebody already has, this would result in my losing the account right ? I just read the MyLot alert that I had received.
Further, what if any related images are downloaded from other sites nad posted. Is it considered illegal (as per MyLOT Guidelines) ?
Is it also necessary for you register for the Paypal Extended programme if you have to receive cash and then withdraw it using paypal ?
I tried the manage interests section. However, I find that the sections I clicked (say movies I like, sports I follow) request me to type individual movie titles rather than the genre. I may like a 100 movies. but I can't type them all. Also I don't want to miss out stuff that I have not selected. Is there any way out ?
Request you to respond and help me.
Don't you think MyLOT should have all these details (like a help page) in its front page ? Why not moot proposal to transform MyLot ?

the best way is to run a search on your topics before you start, then you will know if it has been posted before, if it has and you have something to say, just answer the already existing postings, otherwise start your subject.
Any suggestions you have why not send mylot a message ? its good ideas like yours that will make this forum grow

ya if you copy the same dicussion it might be a case of copying...but generally saying it will not matter much because if you create a new discussion it will be a bit diffirent from others..so dont woory about dicussion. just dicuss what ever u feel except audult. and for images all are permitted except copyright and patents one plus adult onces..
and for paypal sont worry earn and get ur money at home when u gather 150$ in ur paypal a/c.

you are right .. But parttimer is from India and paypal is the only available option for india.
you must have a min of $150 to request a check (5$ processing charge) and exchange rate 1 $ = 43.58 INR [Around Re 1 lesser than stsndard exchange rates]
The alternative thing you could do is buy anything from ebay (ebay USA, NOT ebay.in).. that way you dont have to wait till your a/c reaches 150$.. Plus there is no extra PayPal fees associated with the ebay transactions.
And.. About the Extended use program ..
You need to verify the paypal account to remove the limits imposed .. That is your wish ..

Thank you the three of you. I find it informative. Especially the info on ebay transaction and $150 limit et all. By the by my name is Siva and I use the pet name parttimer as I still am apprehensive about MyLOT. Once probably I am convinced, I shall get back in with a new Avatar.

dont you worry

The best way to see if the discussion have been started before is to find the key words in search.
You should have a paypal or and egold account to get your money.
You can upload any picture which is not from any copyrighted site and its best to post you own collection of photos.

you can search the topics u want to discuss and i think that no prob for images u can add images which has no copyrights even if its repeated and u have to join some payment processor like paypal or e-gold and yes u can add all interests even those are 100.

we cant help to have similar topics but be sure its not copied and pasted..its your own ...cant tell you about payments coz im also new here..you can post your newly seen movies at least you still remember it..can you really post 1000 movies ??

k.. ur first question seem to be very silly.. u see ur not goin to lose your account if the topic is already discussed.. i've come across a no of discussions on the same topic.. moreover, u can also post downloaded pictures in ur discussion.. but remember not in the photos section. no need to take a paypal account now as it will take some time to make your earnings..

well peeps! thatz an interetsing reply! but i got this small doubt about e-gold account! actually in my account i got some money and itz prompting only to give details of pay pal account! but i got account in e-gold. how to inform our e-gold account details to MYLOT

very good observation, mylot will most likely come across this post of yours will consider all of which you have mention. as i have seen mylot four months ago, its not like this at all it was just a very simple site with three colounms for recent discussions and the likes but it evolve to this current one. my guess is that it is still evolving or improving as per members views, recomendations etc. the best thing i see to do is to search it first before starting a new discussion to avoid duplication. greetings. : )

I find it hard too, I think the best way to solve this is by grouping the similar topic into catagories. then the user can choose which catagories they are willing to discuss or start. By doing that, it will stop double topic
