Why does Microsoft has a majority market share ?

Why does Microsoft has a majority market share ? GNU/Linux is a better OS then Microsoft Windows, I'm using it for years.. No viruses / No Trojans / No Ad-wares etc... And most important point, Linux is Free Software. Now, just because it's Free, doesn't necessarily mean it's free. Think "free" as in "free speech," not "free beer."! Why don't you just switch to Linux ?
