Yes, better methods of pain relief are possible... For example, a lot of doctors are reluctant to prescribe strong painkillers due to their fear that the patient would get addicted (although this makes very little sense when the patient only has a short time to live, anyway)
As for Euthanasia, I believe it is a person's choice whether they live or die, and we should support them in that.

what is the reason why doctors exist in the world?...i thought they are here in order to cure the patients...i dont have any idea why euthanasia should be legalized...only god knows when to end the life of the man...if god wants us to suffer maybe it is because we lack those things that He wants us to do...we deserves karma of this...

I am against it in most cases but I don't think that the doctors should withhold giving them as much pain medicine as they need if it's terminal and they are in much pain. I have seen a few cases where the patient was terminal and they were in a lot of pain but the nurses couldn't give them any more pain medication because it might cause their heart to stop beating. I think if it were me I would want the pain medication anyway.

I think we need to have guidelines or else we can have so many problems. I think it may be good if we say that things like water, food and so on should not be witheld from the patients.
