My 6 year old daughter has her first loose tooth and is very excited. When I was a kid the tooth fairy just left spare change. Due to inflation, I am wondering how much the tooth fairy is supposed to leave her when she loses her tooth. How much do you leave for your kids?

20 cents??? That won't even buy her a piece of bubble gum!

This is a good question :) When my niece left her first tooth under the pillow, my cousin left a dollar for her and an "ice cream" gift certificate that is good for around 3 ice cream cones. My daughter has still not lost any tooth (she is still 3 years old) but if ever she loses any teeth, she would get gift certificates from me at the local candy shop :)

The gift certificate is a great idea!
